Lawrence, KS—ThinkGeo LLC is pleased to announce the release of Map Suite Pocket PC Edition 2.0, a GIS mapping control for the .NET Compact Framework that enables .NET developers to build full-featured mapping presentations for portable devices. Built on the latest .NET Compact Framework 2.0, Map Suite Pocket PC enables non-GIS developers to author mapping applications for portable computing devices such as Pocket PCs and PDAs.

Some of the features included with Map Suite Pocket PC Edition 2.0 are the following: shapefile (.shp) data support, MrSID raster imagery support, spatial and distance querying, custom rendering, direct map drawing, comprehensive library of geographic and decimal degree functions, and a large set of sample applications in the C# and VB.NET languages.
