ThinkGeo UI 13.1 Released

We are pleased to announce the release of ThinkGeo UI 13.1. This release has new features, performance enhancements, bug fixes and much more! Some of the highlights are listed below, but you can also view the complete changelog here.

Pinch Rotation and Much More

The 13.1 release introduces a new feature for our Mobile users, enabling simultaneous pinch zoom and rotation. Additionally, you'll observe that the map remains highly responsive during this action, with no noticeable lag.

This release also includes new APIs for async programming that provide significant performance enhancements across the entire Mobile product line. Other new mobile-specific APIs were also added - like the ability to center the map on a given centerpoint/scale instead of just the bounding box.

If you want to sample all the features of ThinkGeo Mobile maps on your personal device without building and deploying your own project, we are proud to announce that our Mobile ‘How Do I’ Samples are available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Just search for ‘ThinkGeo’ on your app store of choice and see all that ThinkGeo Mobile can do for your project.

Improved All-Around Performance

ThinkGeo 13.1 has improved performance on the higher ZoomLevels. When the map is ‘zoomed in’, rendering and panning performance is much better.

In addition to the broad improvements above, specific layers like the NoaaWeatherStationFeatureLayer and NoaaWeatherWarningsFeatureLayer have also seen big performance improvements.

ThinkGeo Mobile has new APIs with an added async model. The old API is marked obsolete but will continue to function until version 13.3.

Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

ThinkGeo 13.1 also includes many bug fixes and stability improvements. We are committed to constantly improving our product line and encourage our users to post any suggestions or bugs to our Community Forums. Or, you can submit a ticket from our helpdesk and our support staff will be happy to guide you through any issues you may have.

If you prefer a more direct approach, we would be delighted to have a conversation with you. Please feel free to schedule a meeting by clicking here. We look forward to discussing our products and how they may fit into your organization.
